A clinical evaluation was attempted to analysis 72 cases of CISH which was performed at Seoul Adventist Hospital from October, 1994 to August, 1996 and to compare with total abdominal hysterectomy of 78 cases at same hospital.
@ES The results of this study were summarized as follows.
@EN 1. The average age of patients for CISH was 42.1 years.
2. The mean operation time for CISH was 127.5 minutes.
3. The common indications for CISH were myoma uteri(47.2%), adenomyosis(19.4%) and myoma uteri with adenomyosis(33.3%).
4. The mean duration of hospitalization for CISH was 5.3 days.
5. The complications were coring site bleeding(4 cases), trocar site hemorrhage(2 cases), headache(5 cases), dysuria(1 case) and intraoperative bleeding(2 cases).
In our conclusion, CISH technique is a minimally invasive & organ-preserving surgery.
Because there are no abdominal or vaginal incisions and pelvic floor support is maintained, physical & psychological stress to the patient can be minimized.
This operation has advantages of shorter hospitalization, smaller blood loss, shorter operation times and reduced postoperative complications.
